How to Clean Out Your Lymphatic System? Be healthy, lose weight and get fit, too

What is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system are the tissues and organs, including bone marrow, spleen, thymus, and lymph node, that produce and store cells that fight infection and disease. The channels that carry lymph are also part of this system. It is vital to your health to clean out your lymphatic system.

Your lymph system is part of your immune system. Being a part of the immune system, it consists of white blood cells to clean away waste fluid and vessels. If it doesnt function properly, we are in danger of cancer, hormonal imbalance, degenerative disease, swelling, and other issues.

Blood and Lymph fluid

There is 3 times more lymph fluid in the body than blood. Blood is pumped through our system by our heart. What pumps the lymph fluid? Deep breathing. Exercise.

Getting plenty of exercise gets the heart going and breathing helps you to sweat out the toxins that are in your body. Vigorous exercise really helps to clean out our lymphatic system.

Exercises that are good for pumping the lymph

Most exercises are good for pumping the lymph. There are several exercises that are doable for everyone. Walking helps to pump the lymph through the body so it can get rid of waste. All of Teresa Tapp s(T-Tapp) DVDs work the lymphatic system and helps the hormones. She has DVDs for menopause and healthy hormones.

Breathing exercises such as Oxycise, Body Flex, and Oxygen Lift are excellent for the lymph system and they do help people lose weight. Many people have lost a lot of weight from deep breathing exercises. Remember, fat is breathed out in the form of carbon dioxide. Breathing out gets the gunk out of your body, too.

This is called the best exercise for the lymphatic system and I didnt even know it

My husband started pulling our things out of storage since we moved out of the apartment we moved to when we moved across the country. Now that we are in a house again, hes been bringing boxes to our new house and stacking them up for us to go through. Oh, how happy I was when he brought my Cellerciser rebounder( mini trampoline ) to my room.

It comes in a case you can carry. I unzipped it and took it out. I unfolded it and set up its bar. It is a 10-minute workout and I will use the bar until I can get stronger. And it works fast. I have been doing the rebounding to change up my exercise routine and I love it.

Guess what? I was looking through information on the lymphatic system and I found out that rebounding is the best exercise for the lymphatic system. The motion from rebounding stimulates all internal organs. It also moves the cerebral-spinal fluid and does wonders for the intestines.

Rebounding movement stimulates a free-flowing system to drain away potential poisons. Rebounding is easy on the joints. It helps improve your digestion and helps people who are constipated return to having regular bowel movements. Your heart muscle can be strengthened with rebounding.

According to Dave Scrivens, a certified lymphologist : There are just three ways to activate the flow of lymph away from the tissues it serves and back into the main pulmonary circulation. Lymphatic flow requires muscular contraction from exercise and movement, gravitational pressure, and internal massage to the valves of lymph ducts. Rebounding supplies all three methods of removing waste products from the cells and from the body.

Body fat is reduced in your legs, thighs, abdomen, arms, and hips. It improves your sense of balance and for me, I feel more agile.

Rebounding allows the muscles to go through the full range of motion at equal force. It helps people learn to shift their weight properly and to be away of body positions and balance, says James White, PH.D.  Dr. White is the director of research and rehabilitation in the physical education department at the University of California at San Diego.

White adds that jumping for health is more effective for fitness and weight loss than cycling, running, or jogging, and it has the added advantage of producing fewer injuries.

Drink plenty of water to keep the lymph system flowing. Also, many people clean their lymphatic system with lymphatic drainage which is a special message to work areas of the body with lymph nodes.

Problems with the lymphatic system hit home

My mother has swollen ankles and feet. They go down is she gets off her feet and props them up. There are chair exercises she can do if she would do them. She has congestive heart failure.

One of my dearest friends has cancer. It began with breast cancer. She went through the chemo and radiation. She was concerned about 2 lymph nodes near her heart that has some cancer in them. Thinking she was in remission, because she was getting check regularly, I sighed with relief.

That was in 2012. Last year she told me she had been having pain in her sternum. She had all kinds of tests. Then, came the pet scan and behind her sternum was a huge tumor. It was radiated down so it would help her pain.

She was given chemo pills and did not lose her hair. Another pet scan and the tumors were bigger in her sternum, lungs, and liver. She had cyberknife done and two new drugs and the tumors went away in her lungs and others were shrinking.

A lot more info below :
Another sign of hope. Recently, she couldnt receive treatment for 3 weeks, because her fighting cells were low. She had a pet scan on a Monday. Friday, I get the text that her tumors are bigger again in her sternum and in her liver.

Now, she has been approved for a clinical trial. The cancer is not in her bones and I am so thankful to God for that. I do not know if breathing and exercising regularly before she had cancer would have helped. Maybe she would have gotten cancer anyway.

I do not sit around and worry about getting illnesses. I just love exercising. It gives me joy. Our bodies are a gift.
